In this busy world of take-out, drive-thru and delivery, it seems as though cooking at home sometimes is forgotten... or at least the family forgets it exists.
This wonderful vintage artwork from the 1950s shows a woman in an apron sliding a delicious-looking pie into the oven, while her daughter looks on, completely amazed.
The design is made even more fabulously retro kitsch thanks to the text running over the bottom of the image (made to look like an old-fashioned plastic Dymo tape label). The design is printed twice, as shown on the images here, so it can be seen on either side of the cup's handle.
Our exclusive vintage-style mug says: "Every year, my kids are surprised I know how to use the oven." IT'S FUNNY BECAUSE IT'S TRUE. (For some of us, anyhow. We're not naming names.)
This humorous retro cooking or baking mug would make the perfect gift for anyone who only gets into their creative kitchen mode around the holidays. (Speaking of, we have a ton of classic pie recipes right here.)
