Tote bags with a silk-effect Lampas weave reproduction from the 18th century
When it comes to affordable tote bags, the print doesn't get much fancier than this! This fabric design is from France during the Louis XV period in the mid-1700s, and is a Lampas weave in silk. (The original textile — the first one shown here — was a Cleveland Museum of Art purchase from the J H Wade Fund in 1954.)
